Our Team

JON A. WOOD

Jon is the son of Jack, Jr. and Marjorie Heileson Wood (deceased) and has been with the funeral home since 1977. He graduated from San Francisco Mortuary College in California. Jon is married to Tamara Hulet Wood, and they are the parents of six children, Heather Camp, Brian, Candace Peters, Austin, Stefan, and Traci. He has nine granddaughters and three grandsons. Jon lives on the west side of Idaho Falls and retired from working full-time in July 2019.

BRIAN J. WOOD

Brian is a funeral director and mortician and is the son of Jon and Tammy Wood. He has been with us since 2004. He's a graduate of Brigham Young University-Idaho where he received his Bachelor's Degree in Business Management. He then went on to receive his degree in Mortuary Science at Mesa Community College in Arizona. He is married to Kayla Belliston Wood, and they are parents of three daughters, McKenzie, Devan, and Remi, and a son, Jordan. Brian is a past President of the Board of Directors for the Idaho Funeral Service Association. He lives in Ammon and is the owner of Wood Funeral Home.

STEFAN T. WOOD

Stefan is a funeral director and mortician and the son of Jon and Tammy Wood. He's been with us since 2013. He graduated from Brigham Young University-Idaho where he received his Bachelor's Degree in Business Management. He received his degree in Mortuary Sciences from Mount Hood Community College in Gresham, Oregon. He's married to Rebecca Maughan Wood, and they have three daughters, Mileah, Mikelle, Aura Lea, and a son, Taylor. They live on the west side of Idaho Falls.

CORY E. BROWER

Cory is a funeral director and mortician and one of our managers. He has been with us since 1998. He's a graduate of the Dallas Institute of Funeral Service in Texas. He's the son of Bart and Janie Brower of Ammon. He's married to Elena, and they are the parents of five children. They live in Ammon.

RYAN J. REEVES

Ryan is a funeral director and mortician and one of our managers. He has been with us since 1996. Ryan graduated from the Dallas Institute of Funeral Service in Texas. He is the son of Stewart and Janet Reeves of Mantua, Utah. He is married to Heidi Baldwin Reeves, and they're the parents of four children, Megan Capson, Spencer, Allie Gerard, and Hunter. They have two grandchildren. Ryan lives in Iona.

JASON SKILLINGS

Jason is a funeral director and mortician and has been with us since 1997. He's a graduate of Arapahoe Community College and is the son of Raymond (deceased) and Carol Skillings of Idaho Falls. He is married to Alesa Gaffner Skillings, and they have two daughters, Shayla and JaNeil. They live in central Idaho Falls.

BRIAN McBRIDE

Brian is a funeral director and mortician and has been with us since 2005. He's a graduate of the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Sciences in Pennsylvania and is the son of Ralph (deceased) and Joyce McBride. Brian currently serves on the Board of Morticians for the State of Idaho Bureau of Occupational Licenses. He lives in Ammon with his wife Jessie. They have eight children.

KEVIN BODILY

Kevin is a funeral director and mortician and joined us in 2015. He has over 25 years experience. Kevin was born and raised in Idaho Falls and graduated from Idaho Falls High School. He attended ISU and the San Francisco College of Mortuary Science. He is also a past President of the Idaho Funeral Service Association and currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Salt Lake Community College Mortuary Science program. He is married to Mitzi Bennett Bodily. They have three children and reside north of Idaho Falls.

COURTNEY BENNION PETERSON

Courtney is a funeral director and mortician and co-manager of our crematory operations. She has been with us since 2003. She is the daughter of Mark and Anne Bennion and graduated from Mount Hood Mortuary College in 2010. She's married to Matt "Pete" Peterson and lives in Ammon.

JORDAN A. BALL

Jordan is a funeral director and mortician and co-manager of our crematory operations. He joined us in 2022. He is a graduate of Arapahoe Community College in Colorado where he received his Associate's Degree in Mortuary Science. He is married to Madison K. Ball and they have two sons.

COLE R. FOSTER

Cole is a funeral director and mortician. He is originally from Rexburg, the son of Corey and Charlotte Foster. He is married to Tabitha Foster. He is a graduate of Brigham Young University-Idaho and Mid-America College of Funeral Service.

KIMBERLY SMITH SORENSON

Kim is our office manager and has been with us since 2014. She graduated from Ricks College with an Associate's Degree in Business Management. She is the daughter of Reuel and Lynet Smith of Ammon. She and her husband, Rod, have five children and live in Ammon.

ELAINE JOHNSON

Elaine is an office assistant and has been with us since 2012. She is the daughter of Bud (deceased) and Renee Johnson of Rexburg. She is a fifth-generation Idahoan with a long-standing interest in family history. She lives in east Idaho Falls.

MITZI BODILY

Mitzi is an office assistant and joined us in 2017. She is the daughter of Gary and Joan Bennett of Idaho Falls and is married to one of our funeral directors, Kevin Bodily. They are the parents of three children and live north of Idaho Falls.

SHAUNA HILL

Shauna is an office assistant and joined us in 2021. She was raised in Shelley and graduated from Ricks College with an Associate’s Degree in Office Management. She is married to Steven Hill and they have three children, Emily, David, and Matthew. They live on the west side of Idaho Falls.

ALESA SKILLINGS

Alesa joined us in 2021 as an office assistant. She is the daughter of Vernon and Carolinn Gaffner and is married to one of our funeral directors, Jason Skillings. They have two daughters and one granddaughter.

CATHRYN POLAND

Cathryn is an office assistant and joined us in 2022. Both her parents are originally from Idaho. She was raised as an "army brat" and has lived many places. She is married to Eric Poland and they have five children.

JESSIE McBRIDE

Jessie is an office assistant and joined us in 2023. She is originally from Kentucky, but has called Idaho her home for eight years. She lives in Ammon with her husband Brian. They have eight children.

JENNA SUMSION

Jenna is our media specialist and joined us in 2022. She is the daughter of Steve and Geri Zollinger of Idaho Falls. She is married to Justin Sumsion and has two children, Mason and Amelia.

TRUDY JOHNSON

Trudy has been with us since 1995. She and her husband, Drew, handle maintenance for our Ammon location. She's the daughter of Delbert and June (deceased) Winterfeld of Swan Valley. She and Drew have six children, Adrienne, Vanessa Bonnell, Frank McClure, Catherine Smith, David McClure, and Whitney. She has eight grandchildren and lives in Idaho Falls.

AMY DAHLKE

Amy is a Pre-Planning and Aftercare Advisor, and has been with us since 2013. She is the daughter of Dennis and Sharon Dahlke of Virginia, Idaho. She is a graduate of Ricks College. Amy has four children, Mikaila, Katelynn, Dillon, and Hailey. She lives in Ammon.

JENNIFER HOWARD

Jennifer Howard is a Pre-Planning and Aftercare Advisor. She joined us in 2023. Jen is the daughter of Jim and Linda Mortensen of Rexburg. She is married to Jim Howard and has three children and two terrific grandchildren. She and Jim live on Snake River Landing in Idaho Falls.

HALEY MORLEY

Haley is a Pre-Planning and Aftercare Advisor. She joined us in 2023. Haley is the daughter of Derk and Lisa Heiner of Melba, ID. She is married to Daniel Morley and together they have 4 children, Damon, Rafe, Jagger, and Raquel. Haley and her family have lived in Idaho Falls for 9 years.
