William Todd “Bill” Hunsaker, 40, passed away Monday April 11, 2011 from injuries received in an auto accident near Kemmerer, Wyoming. Bill was born September 8, 1970 to Randy and Peggy Hunsaker in Landstuhl, Germany while his father was in the U.S. Army. Bill attended schools in Idaho Falls and graduated from Skyline High School in 1988. He joined the United States Army and served during Deseret Storm. He graduated from Idaho State University with a Bachelor’s degree in geology in 2002. He worked for Robison Distributing for nine years and had just accepted a job with Halliburton that would allow him to use his geology degree. He loved rock collecting, hiking, hunting, and fishing and was an avid NASCAR and football fan. Bill’s door was always open to friends and he was always helping someone. On March 21, 2008, Bill married Aleta Lewis in Idaho Falls. He felt that he had finally found his soul mate. Survivors include his wife, Aleta; stepson, Tyler Lewis; stepdaughter, Amber (Nick) Whitman of Salt Lake; granddaughter Jadalyn, whom he loved and she held his heart in her hands; his parents Randy and Peggy Hunsaker of Idaho Falls; sister, Miranda (Ruben) Martinez; niece, Kaitlin Martinez; nephew, Dominic Martinez; and grandmother, Marcheta Hodges of Moscow, Idaho. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at Wood Funeral Home (273 North Ridge Avenue) with a visitation from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services. Burial will be at 12 Noon Thursday, April 21 in the Grant-Central Cemetery with military rites performed by the Bonneville County Memorial Veterans Team and the Idaho Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

The family will visit with friends on Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services at the funeral home. Burial will be at 12 Noon Thursday, April 21st in the Grant-Central Cemetery.
