William H Garner Jr

William H Garner Jr, 80, of Idaho Falls, passed away August 4, 2021, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.

William was born April 23, 1941, in Louisville, Kentucky, to William H Garner Sr, and Edna Compton Garner.

On May 4, 1962, he married Carolyn H Bates in Rigby, Idaho. William and Carolyn made their home in Idaho Falls, Idaho.

William joined the United States Navy in 1958 where he would serve 21 years before he retired. He was a member of the Baptist church. He cherished time spent with family.

William is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn Garner of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Julie (Mike) Pederson of WA; son, John Garner of ID, daughter, Karen Barzee of ID;  sister, Patricia (William) Armstead of TX; and brother, Edward Butch Garner; 15 grandchildren, 35 great- grandchildren, and expecting 1 great-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.
