Tyrell Cheney Obituary

Tyrell Evan Cheney, 28, of Shelley, passed away May 4, 2022, at Idaho Falls Community Hospital.

Tyrell was born September 1, 1993, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Evan Reed Cheney and Shelly Rae Evins Dixon. He grew up and attended schools in Firth and graduated from Shelley High School. He also attended JATC in Pocatello and started an electrical apprenticeship.

Tyrell made his home in Shelley, Idaho. He worked as a fish foreman for O’Hara Corporation.

He was a member of the Lutheran Church. He enjoyed camping, the outdoors, dirt bike racing, and motor cross. He loved to cook and entertain others and was the life of the party. He was very kind and generous.

Tyrell is survived by his father, Evan Reed Cheney, and his bonus Mom, Shellae Branson-Cheney; mother, Shelly Rae Dixon, and his bonus Dad, Tom Dixon; sister, Ashley Crezee of Shelley, ID; brother, Jackson Branson of Idaho Falls, ID; his grandmother, Lois Lange; and grandfather, Raymond Evins.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Jerry Lange, and grandparents, Coral and Sterling Cheney.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 14, 2022, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road. The family will visit with friends Friday from 6-8 p.m. at The Brickyard Event Center, 1025 S. Ammon Road, and Saturday from 1-1:45 p.m. prior to services at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Goshen Cemetery.
