David Scott Weyerman, 52, of Idaho Falls, passed away June 27, 2022, at his home.
Scott was born January 10, 1970, in Savannah, Georgia, to David Jones Weyerman and Joyce Faye Smallwood Weyerman. He grew up and attended schools in Virginia, Alaska, Utah, Iowa, Arizona, and Idaho, and graduated from Mesa High School. He also attended Ricks College and Lewis-Clark State College and earned a Bachelor's in business communication.
On February 12, 1993, he married Trina Prater in Logan, Utah. Scott and Trina made their home in Idaho Falls, Idaho, where Scott worked as an inventory manager.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Scott served a mission to Quebec-Montreal, Canada 1989-1991, French-speaking. He also served as Elders Quorum Secretary, Elders Quorum Teacher, Nursery Leader, and Ward Librarian, among other callings. He enjoyed woodworking, music, family time, cooking, reading, movies, puzzles, and games.
Scott is survived by his loving wife, Trina Weyerman of Idaho Falls, ID; father, David Jones Weyerman of Hyrum, UT; children: Joseph Scott Weyerman of Salt Lake City, UT, KaTrina Hope (Matthew) Jackson of Provo, UT; Bryce McKay Weyerman of Idaho Falls, ID; Carolyn Joi Weyerman of Idaho Falls, ID; Spencer David Weyerman of Idaho Falls, ID; Isabella Faith Weyerman of Idaho Falls, ID; siblings: DaVette Gwynn (Shawn) Anderson of Centennial, CO; Greg Jason (Cynthia) Weyerman of Nampa, ID; Brittney Nicole (Cortney) Forsberg of Rigby, ID; Natasha Joy (Spencer) Wade of Hyrum, UT; and Phillip Nelson (Arielle) Weyerman of Boise, ID.
He was preceded in death by his mother, daughter, Emmaly Grace Weyerman, and brother-in-law, Thayer Engel Prater.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 9, 2022, at the Parri Ward, 6925 North 15th East, with Blake Ford officiating. The family will visit with friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, July 8, 2022, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 South Ammon Road, and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in the Grant Central Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations through Wood Funeral Home to help defray funeral costs.
