Click Here To View Memorial Video Ruby Colleen Jones, 56, of Idaho Falls, passed away on March 20, 2015, at her home, under the care of Hands of Hope Hospice, after a long battle with COPD. She was born April 12, 1958, in Salmon, Idaho, to Edward Wayne Jones Sr. “Poncho” and Laura Mae Wooley Jones. The family moved to Parker where she attended Parker Elementary, St. Anthony Junior High, and St. Anthony High School. She spent most of her life in the Eastern Idaho area and called Idaho Falls home. She had three children, Sherry, Johnny, and Billie Jo. Her soul mate for 27 years was Harry Jess Burke. It was through “devoted love” and devotion to their lives that even through some really tough times their hearts and love were only for each other. She was a devoted soul mate, mother, grandmother, and friend. She had many work experiences from potato plants to housekeeping. Ruby enjoyed working in her yard growing flowers, and was especially proud of her cherry tomato plants. She also enjoyed decorating, loved colors, and was a collector of poetry, both hers and others. Her family was #1 in her life, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren, and she loved spending time with them. Survivors are: Soul mate: Harry Burke, Idaho Falls, ID Daughter: Sherry (Glenn) Porter, Idaho Falls, ID Son: Johnny (Christy) Cox, Idaho Falls, ID 14 Grandchildren: Torie Ray, Summer Oshen, Cyarrin Storm, Autumn (Lillie), Dax (Josiaha), Destry (Kelton), Aaron Kolby, Cassandra Elizabeth Candice, McKegan Wayne, Brianna Katlynn Skye, Ashley May, Colby Tristen, Billy Jo Benjamin, and Jesse William. 6 Great Grandchildren: Zoey, Baby, Jaylynn, Janiah, Jaiden, and Lilly. Sister: Mae (Lee) Twomey, Idaho Brother: Edward Wayne (Mary Jane) Jones Jr., Texas Sister: Dorthy (Dean) Birch, Idaho Sister: Ramona Bosworth, Washington Sister: Wilma (Larry) Thompson, Arkansas Brother: Benjamin Jones, Idaho Stepbrother: Pete Davis, Utah Many nieces and nephews Best Friend for 45 years: Wanda Davidson, Idaho Friends for 40 years: Bob (Robin) Cox, Idaho All the people that grew up and still call her mom. She was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents, Nancy Fern and Emerson Wilcox; and a son, Billie Jo Cox. The family wants to thank Hands of Hope Hospice for all their care and for granting her last wishes to pass away at home with family; without them this would have been impossible. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 28, 2015, at Wood Funeral Home East Side (963 S. Ammon). The family will visit with friends Saturday from 1:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. prior to services. Burial will be in the Annis-Little Butte Cemetery.
