Robert Williams Smith, 86, of Idaho Falls, passed away November 22, 2020, at MorningStar Senior Living Center. He was under the care of Encompass Home Health & Hospice and his loving family.
Robert was born on July 19, 1934, in Evanston, Wyoming. He grew up and attended schools in Pocatello and graduated from Pocatello High School. Robert later attended Idaho State University where he graduated from the College of Pharmacy.
On July 29, 1960, he married Shirley Siddoway in the Idaho Falls Idaho LDS Temple. Robert and Shirley made their home in Moreland, Idaho, and later Nampa, Idaho. Robert worked as a Pharmacist for 48 years. Shirley passed away on December 27, 2010.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Robert served in the New England Mission from 1956 to 1958, and later served a mission with his wife, Shirley, in the Philippine Quezon City Mission from 2006 to 2008. Robert enjoyed gardening, yard work, walking, and reading history.
Robert is survived by his loving daughters, Raylene (Jeff) Bohne of Ammon, ID, Cindy (Ken) Barney of Chandler, AZ, Lynae Van Horn of Boise, ID, and Shawna (Kelly) Carlen of Ammon, ID; brothers, Elvin (Linda) Smith of Nampa, ID, and Keith (Judy) Smith of Pocatello, ID; sister, Barbara Patzer of Boise, ID; 13 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and wife, Shirley Smith.
Private family services will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Caldwell, Idaho.
