Larry Paul Beahm, 67, of Ammon, passed away January 17, 2022, in his home, surrounded by family.
Paul was born June 27, 1954, in Jerome, Idaho. At the age of 4, he was adopted, along with his two brothers, Doug and Alan, by David Milen Beahm and Margaret Ann Billington Beahm. He grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls and graduated from Skyline High School in 1972. He also attended Idaho State University where he graduated in Radiation Technology. Paul retired as a Locksmith from the INL after 31 years.
On May 31, 1974, he married Diana Lynn Barker in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Through this marriage of 34 years, they welcomed six children. They were later divorced. He married Diane Marie Esplin Christensen on March 22, 2014, in Blackfoot, Idaho. Through this marriage, Paul was blessed to gain five bonus kids. Paul and Diane made their home in Ammon, Idaho, and enjoyed time at the cabin in Island Park.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as a Scout Master and mentor to the youth. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, camping, hunting, white water rafting, photography, and riding his Gold Wing motorcycle. He was a master craftsman and enjoyed woodworking. He built multiple homes, trailers, boats, and enjoyed working on electrical and plumbing. He had the "Midas Touch," and in every endeavor exuded greatness and wisdom. His family was his greatest joy.
Paul is survived by his loving wife, Diane Beahm of Ammon, ID; children, Jennifer (John) Crawford, Nick (Autumn) Beahm, Katie (Travis) Gividen, Corey (Brittany) Beahm, Heidi (Mark) Romer, Danny (Alicia) Beahm, Arnie (Fabiola) Christensen, Aaron (April) Christensen, Alex (Angel) Christensten, Kara (Ryan) Jensen, and Kimberly (Kyle) Greenhalgh; brother, Doug (Karen) Beahm; sister, Linda (Randy) Rohweder; 36 grandchildren and 4.5 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Margaret Beahm; sister, Diane Bronson; and brother, Alan Beahm.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, January 21, 2022, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Avenue, with Thomas Barker officiating. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 6-8 p.m. and Friday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services, both visitations at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery.
