Pamela Taylor Obituary

Pamela "Pamma" Jo Taylor, 70, of Idaho Falls, passed away May 9, 2023, at her home.

Pamela was born December 16, 1952, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Joseph Dale Brown and Joy Ann Elg Brown. She grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls and graduated from Skyline High School.

Pamela was very successful in her work career in the title and escrow business. She started out as a part time receptionist at Idaho Title & Trust in the early 80's and rose to the position of manager within the decade. She also served as the president of the Idaho Land Title Association and gave presentations at conferences around the state. She shared her passion for and endless knowledge of the business with many who still work in the field today. She absolutely loved her profession and everyone she met through it.

Her weekends were spent at the place she loved most. Her family's property on Henry's Lake. The huge pines and aspens that grow there today were lovingly planted, cultivated, and cared for with her amazing green thumb. The improvements made there were by her own hammer, hand, and clever problem solving. Case in point--Pamela decided she wanted a screen door on an odd sized frame at her home there. After being dismissed at a few improvement stores and told it couldn't be done, she went and bought her own supplies and without manual or direction, built and hung the exact screen door she wanted. It hangs straight and swings perfect to this day.

To say Pamela was head strong may be a bit of an understatement, but so would saying that she loved her grandchildren. Nothing in this world brought her more happiness or fulfillment than being a grandma. Pamma, as she was known to them, spent all her time planning fun trips and adventures exploring every place and activity she loved in this area. She shared secret spots in remote wildernesses, fantastic caves by beautiful lakes and, of course, some of the best shopping spots around. She always had a coloring book and crayons or a fun new craft of her own invention ready; her time and energy completely focused on their happiness.

The impact that this unconditional love had on not only her grandchildren, but EVERYONE she knew and loved, is a gift that can never be valued or explained in this world’s simple language. However, it lives on in those who were blessed to know her.

Pamela is survived by her daughters, Melissa Valdez (husband Odany) of Idaho Falls and Lindsey Pettit of Bozeman, MT; grandchildren, Ariana Bunnell (husband Kutler) and Marzay Valdez all of Idaho Falls; Steven James Drake, Adelaide Love Drake and Willa Jo Drake all of Bozeman, MT; great grandchildren Cooper Kelly Drake of Bozeman; Ember Jo Kutler and Amara Marie Kutler of Idaho Falls; and nephew, Dustin Cole of Boise, ID.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Dale and Joy Ann Brown; her brothers Robin Brown and Larry Brown, and many beloved aunts and uncles.

We take so much peace in knowing that our mother is in the arms of all those who went before her and the hearts of those reading this.
