Norma Jean Foster, 78, of Idaho Falls, passed away April 3, 2021, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
Norma was born May 27, 1942, in Payette, ID, to Floyd Cassity and Dorothy Bergman Cassity. She was raised by her mother and step-father, Donald Johnson, after her father passed away when she was a young child. She grew up and attended schools all over the world.
On February 11, 1961, she married Harold Willard Foster in Idaho Falls, ID. Norma and Harold made their home in Idaho Falls, Idaho.
She enjoyed camping, going south for the winter, spending time with her family and her beloved dog Sophie.
Norma is survived by her son, Harold "Butch" (Karen) Foster of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Tamie (Kevin) Merrill of Idaho Falls, ID; brother, William R. Johnson of Taipei, Taiwan; sister, Virginia Greif of Payette, ID; grandchildren, Jamie (Tony) Wise, Tyson (Stacy) Foster, Dakota Merrill, and Kylie Foster; great-grandchildren, August Merrill, Gage Foster, Kaydee Foster, and Connor Wise.
She was preceded in death by her father, Floyd Cassity; mother, Dorothy Johnson; step-father, Donald Johnson; husband, Harold Willard Foster, Sr., sister, Betty Brumet; and great-granddaughter, Kaydence Merrill.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 12, 2021, at Fielding Memorial Park, 4600 S. Yellowstone in Idaho Falls.
