Neil Waters, 80, of Idaho Falls, passed away May 29, 2014, at his home. He was under the care of Aspen Home Health and Hospice. Neil was born December 14, 1933, in Douglas, Wyoming, to Robert Benton Waters and Marian Grace Barkdoll Waters. He grew up and attended schools in Laramie. He also attended Brigham Young University and the University of Wyoming in Laramie. Neil served his country as a Corporal in the United States Army. On July 21, 1956, he married Carolyn Jean Snow. The marriage was solemnized three years later in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. To this union were born six children, Robert, Lisa, Kyle, Verle, Victor, and Jared. Neil and Carolyn made their home in Denver, Colorado, where Neil worked as a realtor for 35 years. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He loved horses and enjoyed fishing. He enjoyed playing football in his younger years and was All American in High School. Neil is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Carolyn Waters of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Robert Maxwell (Angie) Waters of Grand Junction, CO; daughter, Lisa (Bill) Kiestler of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Kyle Waters of Englewood, CO; son, Verle Fred Waters of Cheyenne, WY; son, Victor Clifford (Stacie) Waters of Tehachapi, CA; son, Jared Van (Janelle) Waters of Ogden, UT; sister, Delores (Alan) Mossler of Gainesville, FL; sister, Joyce (Duke) DeForest of Sandy, UT; and 17 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 7, 2014, at Horseshoe Cemetery, in Glendo, Wyoming. Military Rites will be performed.
