Michael "Mick" Andrews Obituary

Michael "Mick" Alan Andrews, 50, of Idaho Falls, passed away April 29, 2021, at home.

Mick was born in Tacoma, Washington, to Janice and Andy Andrews, on May 29, 1970. He grew up in Idaho Falls, Idaho. He attended and graduated from Skyline High School in 1988.

Mick “Mickey” married the love of his life, Sway Andrews. Together, they had two beautiful children, Jayda Lynn Andrews and Dillon Michael Andrews. Although they later divorced, they always spent every holiday together and had family time every week. They remained best friends and never lost their love for each other. Jayda and Dillon were the apples of his eye and he was so proud of them and their many accomplishments.

Mick was employed by Sunpro Building Supply, where he excelled as a contractor salesman. Mick was such a good salesman that he could sell you a rock. He spent his career in the building industry and he knew someone everywhere he went.

He was a a born-again Christian and the love he had for his family was endless. Mick loved golf with a passion. On a sunny day, you could always find him at the golf course. He loved snowboarding, shopping, and watching movies with his daughter. He loved working out, playing football, basketball, and video games with his son. He also enjoyed fishing, camping, riding bikes, boating, and most of all, cheering for the Dallas Cowboys. Mick was a talented artist who loved to draw. He was a perfectionist at everything he did. He was an amazing craftsman at redoing furniture and hardwood floors. He had so many different talents and excelled in all that he did. He loved rock music and jamming out with his kids. He had such a strong love for music. Although he didn’t play a real instrument, he was a master of the air guitar. He had an endless sense of humor and loved to make people laugh. Mick was a goofball and was always cracking jokes. He truly was a kid at heart. Mickey was friendly, kind, and had a heart of pure gold. Mick had many childhood, lifelong friends. There are too many to name, but they know who they are. Throughout his life, he was very outgoing and made many more friends along the way. His infectious personality was seen by all, and he never failed to light up the room with his smile.

Mick, you will be missed by so many. You are loved more than you’ll ever know. You will always be a son to Janice, a father to Dillon and Jayda, and a soulmate to Sway. You will always be a big brother to Leslie, a brother-in-law to Todd, Roberta and Krissy, and son-in-law to Marlene. You will always be an uncle to Tanner, Holden, Colton, Teegan, Kaden, and Presley, and a best friend to Scott. We know you will always watch over us and guide us from above. Our forever angel.

Mick is survived by Sway Andrews, Jayda Andrews, Dillon Andrews, Janice Andrews, and Leslie and Todd Pierce.

Mick was preceded in death by his father, Andy Andrews.
