Maxine Everett Andrews, 86, of Ammon, passed away February 14, 2017, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
Maxine was born February 16, 1930, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Russell Everett and Erma Ethel Gardner Everett. She attended the Dewey School in Ammon and graduated from Idaho Falls High School. She then attended the Latter-Day Saints Hospital School of Nursing in Idaho Falls earning her degree in nursing.
On December 27, 1950, she married the love of her life Ray Elvoid Andrews in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. Ray passed away March 4, 1992.
Maxine and Ray made their home in Ammon, Idaho, where they raised their six children, Trena, Bethea, Mark, Sally, Susan, and Bruce. Maxine was a wife, mother, and homemaker. She also worked as a Registered Nurse at the Idaho Falls Hospitals. Maxine worked for many years as the House Supervisor and helped start the first intensive care unit in Idaho Falls. She was a great comfort to her patients and their families.
An active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she served in the primary, cub scouts, relief society, and as the nurse at girls camp. She most enjoyed having her family around her. Throughout her life, she had a wonderful sense of humor that brightened everyone’s life. She also loved flowers, reading, and to paint lovely landscapes. She and Ray loved to travel and see God’s beautiful creations. She also enjoyed being a part of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers.

sister, Marlene (Nuel) Howard of Meridian, ID.
27 grandchildren and 68 great grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ray, a son, Bruce, two brothers, Glenn Everett and Norman Everett, and 3 grandchildren: Cherissa and Annejolee’ Hanny, and Janeal Andrews.
The family sincerely thanks those who have loved and cared for her over the last several years.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 18, 2017, at the Ammon LDS 1st Ward, 3000 Central Avenue, with Bishop Charles Park officiating. The family will visit with friends from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Friday at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue, and from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Saturday at the church. Burial will be in the Ammon Cemetery.
