Maureen (Knapp) Walker Fox

Mabel Maureen Knapp Walker Fox, 91, of Iona, passed away April 14, 2024, at Turtle & Crane Assisted Living. She was under the care of Hands of Hope Hospice.

Maureen was born February 16, 1933, in Goshen, Idaho, to Warren Knapp and Alice Carol Unsworth Knapp Bromley. She grew up and attended schools in Island Park and Goshen.

She married Ralph B. Walker in 1950 in Idaho Falls. They had five children together. They later divorced. She married Dave Fox in Iona. Idaho. Mabel and Dave made their home in Iona.  Maureen worked in Janitorial for the D.O.E.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed rocks, art, hiking, fishing, and family.

Maureen is survived by her husband, Dave Fox of Iona, ID; son, Fred (Pat) Walker of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Kim (Chris) Walker of Ucon, ID; son, Shane (SuzAnne) Walker of Eagle, ID; son, Kelly (Debby) Walker of Milo, ID; son, Jimmy (Dee) Walker of St. Anthony, ID; brother, Steve (Sherlene) Knapp of Ashton, ID; sister, Sylvia (Byron) Stommel of Idaho Falls, ID; sister, Natalie (Terry) Bergevin of Moreland, ID; sister, Rena (Brett) Lagana of Victor, ID; sister, Monee (Jeff) Haringfeild of Ashton, ID; 19 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren, and 8 great-great grandchildren, and 2 more on the way.

She was preceded in death by her father, Warren Knapp; mother, Alice Carol Knapp Bromley; ex-husband, Ralph B. Walker; grandson, Barton Walker; and grandson, Remington Walker.

A gathering will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Friday, April 26, 2024, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue, in Idaho Falls, Idaho.
