Mary Bonnie Lee Kelley Grover, 91, of Boise, Idaho, died February 6, 2017, at Spring Creek Assisted Living Center, Boise, Idaho. She was born September 22, 1925, in Ogden, Utah, to George W. Kelley and Anna Madeline Richey.
She grew up and attended schools in Ogden, and graduated from Ogden High. Later she graduated from the McKay Dee Hospital nursing program as a registered nurse. Prior to marriage she worked as an operating and emergency room nurse. Years later she was a home health care nurse for Jefferson County, eventually working as a staff nurse at the INEL site near Idaho Falls, Idaho.
On October 9, 1948, at Ogden , Utah, she married the love of her life, Howard Raymond Grover. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple December 7, 1963. They celebrated their 50th anniversary in October of 1999. Their life together was spent in Shelley, Ammon, Lorenzo, and Idaho Falls, Idaho. Her life was one of service to others. She was a loving wife, mother, friend, and nurse. She nourished those around her with her love and steadfast faith. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving many years as a Relief Society President , counselor, Primary President, teacher, and several years as a temple worker in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. She was a talented seamstress and enjoyed sewing for herself and family. She enjoyed gardening and was an active member of the Idaho Falls Gardening Club for many years.
Survivors include a son, Kelley Howard (Patricia) Grover of Boise, ID; six daughters: Susanne Marie (David) Lord of Midland, TX; Sandra Lee (Guy Frederick) Grooms, of Meridian, ID; Sheila Rae (Terry) Johnson, of Payson, UT; Rita Joy (Benjamin) Hart, of Salt Lake, UT; Gay Lynn (Thomas) McKnight, of Payson, UT; Heather Kay (Michael) Price of Indiana, PA; 31 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, a sister, and a brother.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 18, 2017, at the Archer-Sutton Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 11 a.m.-12:15 p.m. prior at Wood Funeral Home 273 N. Ridge Avenue.
