Margaret "Pat" Fowler

Margaret “Pat” Patterson Fowler, 93, of Idaho Falls, passed away on November 2, 2011, at Idaho Falls Care and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on April 19, 1918, at her home in Lincoln, Idaho to John S. Patterson and Amy Glazier Patterson. She moved with her family briefly to California and then to Chinook, Montana where she graduated from Chinook High School in 1936. On May 21, 1938, she married George Alfred Fowler in Shelley, Idaho at the Creamery while the Justice of the Peace was on break. He preceded her in death on November 25, 1994. She was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker and worked at several jobs including the Idaho Potato Growers. She also was a wonderful grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother and loved spending time with her family. Pat was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed bowling, gardening, oil painting, crocheting, camping, reading, and playing Solitaire. Survivors are: Son: Richard Dean (Jeanette) Fowler, Idaho Falls, ID Daughter: Barbara Rae (Evan) Smith, Yuma, AZ Daughter: Georgann (Frank) Kocsis, Black Hawk, CO Son: George Ellis (Terri) Fowler, Enola, AR 11 Grandchildren 26 Great Grandchildren 12 Great Great Grandchildren She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a brother, Dean; and 1 grandchild, Ricky Smith. Memorial services are at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 9, 2011, at Wood Funeral Home (273 N. Ridge) in Idaho Falls. The family will visit with friends on Wednesday from 1-1:45 p.m. prior to the services at the funeral home. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
