Mae Jones Obituary

Mae was born May 1, 1938, in Rigby, Idaho. She was the youngest of 12 children.

Mae met Wesley Dee Jones when she was working as a cashier at Albertsons grocery store. Mae and Wes then married in January of 1962. They had two children, Kristie and Robert (Bob/Bobby). They lived in Boise, Nampa, and Blackfoot before settling in Idaho Falls.

Mae loved to spend time outdoors watching hummingbirds, gardening, camping, and fishing. She especially enjoyed spending many years of her time at their cabin in Island Park. Mae always loved reading and playing card games. In her later years she would play with a group of ladies every week. Most of all Mae loved spending time with family and friends.

Her grandchildren and great grandchildren, who called her Granny or Gram, always had a special place in her heart. She spent a lot of time with them creating memories they will forever cherish.

Mae had no problem telling people what she really thought, and wouldn't even bat an eye after doing so. Mae will always be remembered as the beautiful, woman she was proud to be. Mae will truly be missed by all her friends and family. She was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

Mae is survived by her husband, Wesley Dee Jones; daughter, Kristie (Jones) Lopez and her husband, Salvador Lopez; grandson, Nickalos Jones and his wife, Jenn (Joslin) Jones; granddaughter, Kadie Rose (Bartausky) Birch and her husband, Brandon Birch; and her great grandchildren, Jocelyn Jones, Jasper Jones, Braydin Wallace, Mason Birch, and Bailey Birch.

She is preceded in death by her son, Bob, all of her siblings, and her parents.

Private family services will be held at a later time.
