Keith Lucky Stratton, 89, of Lewisville, Idaho, passed away June 22, 2023, at Lily & Syringa Assisted Living Center. He was also under the care of his loving family and Aspen Home Health & Hospice. Lucky was born November 8, 1933, in Canyon City, Oregon, to Buster B. Stratton and Anna Ellen Keetone Stratton. He grew up and attended schools in Oregon until the time he started logging with his father. He served as a Private First Class in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. On August 20, 1992, he married Donna Fine in Grants Pass, Oregon. Lucky and Donna made their home in Grants Pass, Oregon. He was one of the last true cowboys and spent many years ranching, rodeoing, and cowboying. Lucky spent time on the Oregon Coast and opened horse riding stables in Bandon, Oregon. He also worked as a mechanic for a number of years in the Portland, Oregon area.
In later years, Lucky spent every minute caring for his loving wife, Donna, in Roseburg, Oregon. He was by her side holding her hand until her last breath. After her passing, Lucky moved to Lewisville, Idaho, to live with his son, Michael and family. The last few years were special and allowed children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren to create memories with him to last a lifetime. The stories he shared were the greatest ever told. Lucky is survived by his loving son, Michael (Sarah) Fine of Lewisville, ID; grandchildren, Layne (Joree) Smith of Ammon, ID, Jordan Fine (Shannah Farnsworth) of Lewisville, ID, Skylar Robinson (Stephanie Empey) of Idaho Falls, ID, Addison Robinson of Lewisville, ID; and great grandchildren, CJ Fine and Bonnibelle Smith of Ammon, ID. He was preceded in death by his parents, Buster and Anna Stratton; four sisters, Ardice, Peggy, Maxine, and Bonnie; and two brothers and another sister at infancy.
Private family services will be held.
