Louann Newmon Obituary

Louann  Theresa Bospflug Newmon, 88, of Shelley, passed away January 3, 2022, at The Gables Assisted Living Center of Shelley.  She was under the care of Symbii Hospice.

Louann  was born October 18, 1933, in Imperial, CA, to Charles Alfonse Marlborough and Clothilde Laura Simoneaux Marlborough.  She grew up and attended schools in Imperial, CA and graduated from Imperial High School. 

On August 9, 1953, she married Frank William Bospflug in Imperial, CA . Louann and Frank made their home in El Centro, CA where she worked as a bank teller and operations manager at Security Pacific National Bank. They had four children, Lance, Theresa, Marcel and Sharon. Louann and Frank were married for 33 wonderful years. After Frank passed, she was remarried to O. A. “Skeet” Newmon, on June 22, 1991 and was her loving companion in her later years.

She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.  She had a lot of hobbies including sewing, crocheting, quilting, camping, traveling and gardening. She was also involved in various activities with her kids as they were growing up. She supported them in whatever activities they chose to do. 

Louann  is survived by her son, Lance Frank (Judy) Bospflug of Mccall, ID, daughter, Theresa Ann (John) Towner of Bakersfield, CA, son, Marcel Louis Bospflug, daughter, Sharon Louise (Dahl) Stucki of Idaho Falls, ID; sisters, Ethel Marlborough of San Diego, CA, and Joan Marlborough of San Diego, CA; and 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Clothilde Marlborough; first husband, Frank Bospflug, and second husband, Skeet Newmon; sisters, Dorothy Keais, Doris Marlborough, Lucretia M. Marlborough; brothers, Charles Frank Marlborough, John Andrew Marlborough, and Louis F. Marlbrough.

Private family services will be held.

The family would like to thank the staff of Gables of Shelley as well as Symbii Hospice for their loving care and service they gave to Louann. They brought comfort knowing she was well cared for in her last years.
