Leaf Welker Call

Leaf Welker Call, 56, our beloved father, grandpa, brother, and dear friend, of Idaho Falls, passed away October 31, 2023.

Leaf was born April 18, 1967, in Afton, Wyoming, to Lawrence Welch Call and LaRee Draney Call. He grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls.

Leaf made his home in Idaho Falls where he worked in the automotive industry throughout his life. Leaf married Kristy Monroe on June 14, 1988. Together, they raised four beautiful children, Aaron, Jeff, Chelise, and Lynsey. They later divorced. Leaf married Kandie in 2007. They had two more beautiful children, Jayden and Sadie. They were recently divorced.

He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Our dad was a gentle giant who was passionate about his family. Some of his favorite things to do with them were spending time camping, dirt biking, fishing, and BBQing. Our dad will be missed tremendously.

Leaf is survived by his son, Jeff (McKinzie Camphouse) Call of Idaho Falls; son, Aaron (Shianne) Call of St. Anthony, ID; daughter, Chelise (Shilo) Ellingford of Idaho Falls; daughter, Lynsey (Luke) Shurtliff of Rigby, ID; son, Jayden Call of Idaho Falls; daughter, Sadie Call of Idaho Falls; siblings, Terence Call, Lonnie Call, Tonya Call, Renell Lee, Larry Call, and Terry Call; and sixteen grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and LaRee Call.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 6, 2023, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 South Ammon Road. The family will visit with friends from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. prior to services.
