Biography

Leroy Martin Karlson, 74, of Idaho Falls, passed away Sunday, November 17, 2013, at his home. LeRoy was born July 24, 1939, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to B. Victor Karlson and Laura Bee Karlson. He grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls and graduated from Idaho Falls High School. LeRoy worked for Heyrend Produce, for the City of Idaho Falls Zoo, and spent most of life as a Potato Inspector for the State of Idaho. LeRoy is survived by his sister, Ruth (Vern) Kelsch of Idaho Falls, ID, and a nephew, Terry Hackman. He was preceded in death by his parents. Graveside Funeral Services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, November 21, 2013, at Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends from 2:00 to 2:45 p.m. Thursday at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Avenue, Idaho Falls.
