Laura LaRue Ross Crain, 94, of Teton City, Idaho, passed away May 15, 2023, at The Homestead Living Center in St. Anthony. She was under the care of Solace hospice and her loving family.
Laura was born January 19, 1929, in Wilford, Idaho, to Edgar "Ted" LaRue Ross and Edna Mae Watts Ross. She grew up and attended schools in Newdale, Idaho, and graduated from Sugar-Salem High School.
On October 20, 1947, she married James Delbert Crain in St. Anthony. Laura and Delbert made their home in Teton City, Idaho, where Laura was a loving mother and helped on the family farm.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She rode in the Upper Valley Wranglers, coached a fast-pitch Church softball team, and bowled on a mixed and women’s league. Laura enjoyed trail rides with friends, playing cards, camping and fishing. She especially loved crafting and spending time with her family.
Laura is survived by her loving daughter, Cheri Jensen of Teton City, ID; granddaughter, Dayna (Trent) Jensen of Bancroft, ID; grandson, Brian (Holly) Jensen of Syracuse, UT; and 9 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Delbert Crain; grandson, James Cody Jensen; brother, Norman (Ruby) Ross; and sister, Ruby Lee (Earl) Stock.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 19, 2023, at Teton 1st Ward, 44 West Main Street, with Weston Klingler officiating. The family will visit with friends from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Teton-Newdale Cemetery.
