Laura Launa Bornstedt, 70, of Idaho Falls, passed away June 3, 2020, at Teton Post Acute Care & Rehabilitation.
Laura was born December 30, 1949, in Stibnite, Idaho, to Keith Bradley and Dora Viola Lucas Bradley. She grew up and attended schools in Portland, Oregon, and graduated from Cleveland High School in Portland.
Laura married Charles Albert Mayo in Portland, Oregon, and they were later divorced. On April 16, 1975, she married Dale Allyn Bornstedt in the Idaho Falls, Idaho temple. From this union they were blessed with four children, Jared, Jonathan, Joseph and Julia. Laura and Dale raised their family in Kelso Washington. Dale passed away on March 17, 2018.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in various callings but the primary children were her favorite. Laura loved painting and especially loved painting Asian ceramic figurines. She enjoyed houseplants, gardening, sewing, flower arranging and all crafts. Laura loved getting to know people and made friends easily. She was loved by all.
Laura is survived by her loving son, Jared Allyn Bornstedt of Kelso, WA, sisters, Priscilla Ellis of Portland, OR, Willa (Steven) Parker of Idaho Falls, ID, and Elsie Zwald of Portland, OR; brother, David Bradley of Chippewa Falls, WI; and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Dale Allyn Bornstedt, two sons, Jonathan William Bornstedt and Joseph Allan Bornstedt; and her daughter, Julia Marie Bornstedt.
