Larry Russell Steele, 74, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, passed away the morning of October 24, 2021, at his home.
Larry was born in Idaho Falls, Idaho, on March 18, 1947, to Russell and Mildred Elg Steele. He attended schools in Idaho Falls, graduating from Idaho Falls High School. After graduation, he attended Idaho State University studying to be a machinist. After graduation, he started working for the gun plant in Pocatello, Idaho, where he machined the big barrels for the big ships. Upon returning to Idaho Falls, he started his career at Idaho Products. He worked for the same company his entire working career.
He loved the outdoors. He was happiest when fishing, hunting, camping, and four wheeling with his family.
In August of 1973, he married Denice Lamont. They had son, Skip Steele, from a previous marriage, and son, Matthew Russell Steele.
Larry is survived by his wife, Denice of Idaho Falls; son, Skip (Lori) Steele of Idaho Falls; 3 grandchildren; brothers, Harold Steele of Challis, Idaho, and Gordon (Roxie) Steele of Idaho Falls; sisters, Sharon Gilbert and Barbara Steele of Idaho Falls; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Matthew.
He was a kind and loving man who will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
