N. LaVon Polson, 86, of Idaho Falls, passed away October 10, 2019, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
LaVon was born October 15, 1932, in Roberts, Idaho, to Hugh Leroy Polson and Violet Arvilla Smith Polson. She grew up and attended schools in Roberts, graduating from Roberts High School.
LaVon made her home in Idaho Falls, Idaho, and worked for JC Penney for 22 years until retirement.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed spending time with her family.
LaVon is survived by her son, Guy Polson of Pocatello, ID; daughter, Deserii (Shawn) Davies of Ammon, ID; daughter, Debby (Rod) Lake of Iona, ID; sister, Shirley Shelley of Redding, CA; 8 grandchildren, Chad (Whitney) Polson, Brady (Candace) Polson, Nathan (Monica) Perez, Zachary Perez, Derek Perez, Cordell Lake, Tessa Rowbury, and Jazmine Davies; and 5 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hugh and Violet Polson; and brothers, Steve, Duane, and Verl Polson.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, October 17, 2019, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Avenue. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 6:30-8 p.m. and Thursday from 1-1:45 p.m. prior to services, both visitations at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Annis-Little Butte Cemetery.
