Karen Haderlie Covert, 80, of Idaho Falls, passed away May 3, 2021, at her home with her family by her side.
Karen was born September 30, 1940, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Jack Lional Haderlie and Margaret JeNeil Heyrend Haderlie. She grew up in Ammon and attended schools in Idaho Falls, graduating from Bonneville High School.
Karen made her home in Idaho Falls where she worked as a custodian for the Department of Energy. She enjoyed spending time with her family and had fond memories of Yellowstone National Park. She was a member of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Karen is survived by her daughter, Sheila (Bradley) DaBell of Idaho Falls; son, Kenneth Barzee of Idaho Falls; daughter, Jana Barzee of Idaho Falls; son, Eric (Danielle) Barzee of Twin Falls, ID; sisters, Lynn Renee Walker and JeNeil Laural McAlevy, both of Idaho Falls; 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack Haderlie and Margaret Heyrend Anderson; sister, Lexi Anderson; and brothers, Paul J. Haderlie and Thomas I. Anderson.
Karen was the cornerstone of our family and she will be dearly missed.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, May 24, 2021, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road.
