Dear Family, I am deeply sadden by the passing of my dear friend Joe. Serving under him as a deputy, and establishing a life long friendship. He gave me a father figure when I needed it. He believed in me when a lot of others didn’t.
He always showed integrity, courage in the face of danger.
Rest now Joe you earned it.
Love Terrall and Jeanette

In the early 70's I had the pleasure of serving Sheriff Joe as one of his deputies. He was a great boss and I'll never forget the experiences had while working the Mud Lake side of the county. Joe was always a "good visit" over the years and I'll always remember him.
