Johnathon Dean Rieth, 43, of Idaho Falls, passed away February 6, 2020, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
John was born August 24, 1976, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Gary Allen Rieth and Betty Arlene Park Rieth. He grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls but moved to Anchorage, Alaska, where he graduated from East High School.
John worked in Idaho Falls, Idaho, where he was self employed. He was a member of the Catholic Church. John enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, motorcycles, bowling, playing darts, golf, and bull-riding. He truly was a good friend and a good man.
John is survived by his loving daughter, Shelby Lynn (Kendric McVay) Walton of Anchorage, AK; mother, Betty Arlene Rieth of Anchorage, AK; one grandson, Angelo Marrufo of Anchorage, AK; brothers, Jeff Rieth of Gautier, MS, and Scott Rieth of Anchorage, AK; niece Katlynn Rieth; and nephews, and Robert Hacker, Cody Rieth, and Mathew Rieth, all of Anchorage AK.
He was preceded in death by his father, Gary Allen Rieth who passed away December 31, 2019.
A celebration of life and potluck will be held in Idaho Falls at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, February 15, at the First Christian Church (1800 12th Street and Woodruff, Idaho Falls, Idaho). A second celebration of life will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, February 22, at the First Christian Church (3031 LaTouche Street, Anchorage, Alaska).
