John J. Moser

John Junior Moser, 88, of Idaho Falls, passed away October 29, 2019, at The Gables Assisted Living Center of Idaho Falls.  He was under the care of his loving family.

John was born September 29, 1931, in Bedford, Wyoming, to Joseph Hyrum Moser and Sarah Walton Moser.  He grew up and attended schools in Bedford and graduated from Thayne High School. John joined the Navy at 20 years old and served in the Korean War. While serving he earned 5 medals.

On June 5, 1955, he married Edith E. Smith. From this marriage they were blessed with 4 children. He and Edith were later divorced. John made his home in Teton Valley and surrounding areas, where John owned and operated various business.

John loved horses and fishing.

John is survived by his loving children, daughter, Wendi (Darrell) Celino of Tetonia, ID; daughter, Gina M. (Wallace) Armstrong of Idaho Falls, ID; son, John Joseph (Christy) Moser of Ashton, ID; sister, Donna Jensen of Layton, UT; sister, Betty Jensen of Rigby, ID; 10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Dee Moser; sister, Jenny Parson; and infant daughter, Cindy Renee Moser.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 6, 2019, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 South Ammon Road. The family will visit with friends from 10:00-10:45 a.m. prior.

Military Rites will be performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Memorial Team and Navy Honor Guard.
