Jim Krynicki Obituary

James “Jim” Paul Krynicki, an avid photographer, animal lover, and resident of Idaho Falls, unexpectedly passed away on May 8, 2022.

Jim was born on July 25, 1957, and adopted at birth by Albin and Jane Krynicki. He spent his first five years in Chicago, before his family moved to Redlands, California. On November 6, 1988, he married the love of his life Teresa Butikofer and they began a life together filled with love, family, and devotion to one another. They welcomed their two beautiful daughters into the world In 1989, Elizabeth, and 1994, Alexis. In 2016, Jim and Teresa decided to escape California and move back to Teresa’s hometown of Idaho Falls, Idaho.

Jim was a devoted husband and loving father to Elizabeth and Alexis. Teresa and his girls were his whole world and his love only grew as his grandchildren, Cameron, Hayden, and Braylin were born. He loved being outdoors whether it was taking photos, camping, riding his mountain bike, or fishing. Some of his favorite things were his Saleen mustang, his train collection as well as his guitar collection. A self proclaimed comedian, their was nothing he wouldn't do to make his family and friends smile.

Jim was working for HK Contractors and prior to moving to Idaho, he worked for Robertson's Ready Mix for 20 years while in California.

His family wants to express their heart-felt appreciation and say DANKE to all the family and friends for their outpouring of love and help during this difficult time. Also DANKE to the medical staff that gave their all to his care. As Jim was known to say and annoy many “Do you know that Danke means thank you and is derived from the German language.”

Jim is survived by his wife, Teresa; his daughters, Elizabeth Krynicki and Alexis (Daniel) Anders; and his grandchildren, Cameron (10), Hayden (9), Braylin (3) and Colton, who is on the way.
