Jeannie Morgan Obituary

Jeannie Eileen Lewis Morgan, beloved mother, cherished friend, and pillar of strength, passed away on March 23, 2024, after a long battle with cancer. In her final days, she was surrounded by family and friends who loved her dearly.

She passed into the next life, greeted by her loved ones. She is now in Heaven with her husband of 46 years, Lynn Arland Morgan; her mother, Afton Eileen Marble Lewis; father, Thomas Horton Lewis; as well as her grandson, Spencer C. Morgan; and many more beloved family and friends.

Born on February 26, 1948, in Ogden, Utah, Jeannie was the oldest of eleven children. She lived in Ogden, Malad, Arbon Valley, and Milo, and graduated from Bonneville High School, where she was voted Miss School Spirit in 1965. Afterward, she went to Ricks College for a year, and then moved on to Salt Lake City College. While in Utah, she received medical assistant training and completed an internship before meeting her beloved husband.

On February 2, 1968, Jeannie married Lynn Arland Morgan in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. They made their home in Riverton, Utah, where they had five of their children. They then moved to Milo, Idaho, in 1976 where they had four more children. For 38 years, they called Milo home. During this time, Jeannie worked as a special needs school bus driver for District 93. She loved her special kids and she was special to them.

Jeannie was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in the Relief Society, Scouts, Primary, and as the organist and chorister. She enjoyed music, reading, writing, knitting, crocheting, painting, storytelling, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She could often be found working at the Shelley Senior Citizen Center, where she made many friends and was an important member of the community.

In 2014, Jeannie lost Lynn to cancer and she moved to Shelley, Idaho, soon after to live with and be cared for by her daughter, Irinda Passino. She remained with the Passino family until her passing.

She is survived by her daughters, Shawnalyn Morgan of ldaho Falls, Eileen (Darrin) Campbell of ldaho Falls, Michele (Brian) Hatch of Idaho Falls, Irinda (Ryan) Passino of Shelley, and Emily (Nathan) Downey of Iona; sons, Edward Lynn (Brooke) Morgan of Iona, Mark David (Aimee) Morgan of Ammon, John Thomas Morgan of Shreveport, and Daniel Lewis (Pamela) Morgan of Iona.
