Jean Isaacs Obituary

Mary Jean Bumgarner Frandsen Isaacs was born to Lawrence Howard Bumgarner and Annie Mae Beasley Bumgarner on June 7, 1931, in Shelley, Idaho. She set aside her worries and entered the peace she so richly deserved on February 6, 2020, at Teton Post Acute Care and Rehabilitation. She was happy to be reunited with her loved ones.

She was a serious child and took the roll of big sister seriously and spent her life loving and looking after her brothers and sisters. At the age of 8 her father died suddenly and left her to help care for three younger sisters and one brother. She was a self proclaimed hell raiser.

At a young age she married Merlin Frandsen and to them were born three children. They lived on Rawlins Creek in the Blackfoot River Mountains. She loved riding her horse or walking among the Quaking Aspens and wild flowers. She liked the work of managing a ranch and taking care of her family.

She later married Robert Isaacs. They worked side by side in the hospitality industry finally settling in as managers of Sunnyside Acres mobile home park. As office manager she got to know all of the residents and was liked by all. Jean was always a very good worker and loved taking care of others.

After Bob's death her health began to fail as she struggled with dementia and could no longer live alone so she moved to Teton Post Acute Care and Rehabilitation they took wonderful care of her and love her. She loved her roommate and always looked after her.

We would like to thank the staff at Teton Post Acute Care for their patient and loving care of our mother and grandmother.

She leaves behind daughters, Lola (Kyle) Hill of Firth, ID, and Tawny (Dru) Roberts of Daniel, WY; and son, Dennis (LeAnn) Frandsen of Chesterfield, ID. Jean was a the proud grandmother to 12, great grandmother to 25 and great-great grandmother to seven with twins this coming summer. She is also survived by brothers, Ray (Earlene) Olsen of Dubois, ID and Ralph (Juanita) Olsen of Firth, ID.

Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Isaacs; her parents, favorite aunt, Beulah Olsen; sisters, Pallie Crider, Jackie Schnuckel, JoAnn Hodges; brother, Larry Bumgarner; and great grandson, Wyatt Martin.
