Gregory Tyler Hatfield, 34, of Boise, Idaho, passed away September 9, 2023, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls, Idaho, following a motorcycle accident.

Greg was born October 11, 1988, in Caldwell, Idaho, to Ronald Lee Hatfield Jr. and Christina Denise (Elliott) Hatfield. He grew up and attended schools in Middleton and graduated from Middleton High School in 2007. Greg was a member of the Natural Helpers Club in High School where he was a big impact on his fellow peers. Greg and his life partner, Rachel Carlson, made their home in Boise, Idaho, where Greg worked as a welder for Vibra-Pro. He was a very talented welder and enjoyed creating unique gifts for his friends and family.

As a child, Greg created wonderful memories for him and his family playing Little League at Hawthorne Park near his childhood home. He was a member of the bands, Gutliner and SLUMM. SLUMM, who performed at Treefort Music Festival in 2016. He loved the rock band Grateful Dead and was able to attend their concert when he was 16. He enjoyed train-hopping (shhh, don't tell), camping, hiking, skateboarding, and loved a wide variety of music. He enjoyed taking his dog Hellshock for walks. He enjoyed taking random road trips with Rachel and Hellshock to explore many beautiful landmarks and National Parks around the country. Antiquing was a big part of Greg and Rachel's fun adventures. He also enjoyed photography and shooting on 35mm film.

Greg is survived by his loving parents, Christina Hatfield and Ronald Hatfield Jr. of Middleton, ID; partner, Rachel Carlson of Boise, ID; sister, Krystyna Hatfield of Middleton, ID; grandparents, Connie Elliott, Mary (Tony) Komes, and Ronald Lee Hatfield Sr.; aunt, Emma (Greg) Green; uncle, John Shirley; uncle, James (Patricia) Fowler; and cousins, Nate, Chris, Nicole, Ashley, Raven, Krista and Edward.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Melvin Elliott and great-grandparents, Harold and Junia Baker, and his beloved dog and side-kick Hellshock.

Greg was an organ donor, and his corneas were donated to save the sight of someone in need in Ogden, Utah. He was very loved by his family and friends and will be deeply missed.
