Fred Cronmiller Obituary

Fred Leon Cronmiller, 47, of Twin Falls, Idaho, passed away on November 14, 2023, at his sister’s home in Idaho Falls from long-lasting health complications resulting from a work accident in 2012. He was under the care of Aspen Home Health & Hospice and his sister, Tresia Jones.

Fred was born December 28, 1975, in Tulare, California, to Dean Gale Cronmiller and Lillie Velet Stone Cronmiller. He grew up in Livermore, California, until 1992 when his family moved to Idaho, where he attended Filer High School and Buhl High School.

Fred received an award in 1985 in Nevada for reporting a building fire that saved the building and the lives of those inside. In 2000, he was a certified K-9 handler in sentry dog posting and obedience. In 2001, he was Medic First Aid certified and was a volunteer firefighter.

In 2002, he married Kristin Marie Childs in Buhl, Idaho. They had two beautiful children together, Malliyah and Garrett, who meant the world to Fred. They divorced in 2006. In 2023, he became a grandfather to Amoni. He never stopped bragging about how perfect his little grandson was.

He was a member of local car clubs, enjoyed mechanics, driving big trucks, collecting cars, and riding motorcycles. He was a great artist, loved drawing, and doing tattoos. Fred believed that family was not through blood, but through a bond that was created.

Fred is survived by his son, Garrett Cronmiller of Buhl, ID; daughter, Malliyah Cronmiller, and grandson, Amoni of Buhl, ID; his mother, Letty Stone (Cronmiller) of Wyoming; mom, Renea Blume of Twin Falls, ID; siblings, Shelbi (Ken) Leser of Boise, ID, Marvin Mortensen of CO, Aaron Stewart of Australia, Josh Stewart of Idaho Falls, ID, Tresia Jones of Idaho Falls, ID, Evia (Scott) Compton of Buhl, ID, Tabitha (Phillip) Turner of Homer, AK, and Sonya (Tony) Ring of Twin Falls, ID; his best friends, Eli Knaphaus, Rainie, Andy; and so many others, but there is just not enough time in the world to list individually.

He was preceded in death by his father, Dean Gale Cronmiller; mother, Beulah Mae Marlow; nephew, Manuel Mejia; brother-in-law and best friend, Darrall Strickland; and his dog, Roxy.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
