Rock and Roll Heaven gained another soul when Frank Leonard Stokes, 65, of Idaho Falls, passed away June 5, 2022, at home with family by his side.
Frank was born May 14, 1957, in Sacramento, California. His parents were James Stokes and Lorraine Rorman Stokes. He attended schools in Antioch, California, and spent many summers growing up with extended family in Montana.
Frank’s passions in life were his children, Melissa, Cassidy, and Joy, his many grandchildren, his music, and fixing anything and everything for his friends. He enjoyed spending as much time as he was able with his children, and later his grandchildren. Through the years, he was able to inspire some of his grandchildren with his love of music as well.
He was a member of many bands in the Bay Area of California, specializing mostly in country and rock music. He enjoyed playing music and singing, as well as camping and fishing with his children in their younger years.
Frank is survived by his daughter, Melissa Stutz of Sweet Home, OR; son, Cassidy Stokes of Lebanon, OR; Joy Stokes-Burchard of Idaho Falls, ID; 6 grandchildren; and his sisters, Debra Martin, Elaine Cervelli, Evelyn Miller, and Ellen Ellsworth, all of Antioch, CA.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Carol Cline.
