Emily Annette Nield Robinson, 79, of Buckley, Washington, passed away September 18, 2021, at Heritage House in Buckley. She was under the care of Wesley Hospice.
Emily was born March 18, 1942, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Edwin John Nield and Leona Johnson Nield. She grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls and graduated from Bonneville High School.
On December 23, 1961, she married James “Jim” Gordon Robinson in Coltman, Idaho. In 1966, they moved to Washington state so Jim could pursue his education and work for Boeing. Emily worked as a attendant counselor in the mental health field.
She enjoyed dancing, bowling, and reading. She loved time with her family. Family was everything to her.
Emily is survived by her daughters, Annette (Jim) Kuehn of Orting, WA, and Janet (Steve) Johnson of Blackfoot, ID; sons, James Robinson of Orting, WA, and Edwin Robinson (Krystle) of Tacoma, WA; sister, Marjorie Croston of Spokane, WA; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers, Jay Nield, Victor Nield, and Robert Nield, and sister, Jeanette Nield.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 25, 2021, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue, with Mike Smith officiating. The family will visit with friends Friday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. prior to services at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery.
