Dennis Raye Paulson, 85, of Idaho Falls, passed away October 31, 2012, at his home.
He was born August 29, 1927, in Hanska, Minnesota, to Tolef Hjalmer Paulson and Blanche Sibyl Nerlie Paulson. He grew up and attended schools in the area. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
On April 6, 1950, he married Nina Matahilda Borgen in Anaconda, Montana. They made their home in Boulder, Colorado. Dennis worked as a food buyer for Sysco and Nobles Foods in Denver, Colorado, retiring in 1995. He and Nina then moved to Idaho Falls, where they have since resided.
He was a member of First Lutheran Church in Idaho Falls.

Son: Gary (Kim) Paulson of Victor, ID
Sister: Helen Newby of Roseburg, OR
2 Grandchildren: Spencer R. Paulson of Tucson, AZ and Colbie Holderness of Washington, DC;
1 Great Grandson: Andrew Paulson
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Hugo Paulson.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 6, 2012, at First Evangelical Lutheran Church, 455 West Sunnyside Road, with Pastor Larry Cudmore officiating. The family will visit with friends for one hour prior to the services Tuesday at the church. Burial will be in the Ammon Cemetery.
