Dennis Cannon Obituary

Dennis Bruce Cannon, 67, of Island Park, passed away January 27, 2023, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls, surrounded by his family.

Dennis was born July 11, 1955, in Boulder City, Nevada, to Willard Hunt Cannon and Bessie Hacking Cannon. He grew up and attended schools in Utah and attended Lehi High School. He left school to join the Army which took him to Kentucky, Utah, and then Las Vegas where he met his first wife, Betty Teninty. They were blessed with two children, Jason and Angelia.

On August 20, 1981, he married Natalie Sue Rackman in American Fork, Utah.

Dennis was a man of all trades. He worked on the railroad and in the oil fields which provided the opportunity for him to travel with his family. He drove truck, worked at Hill Air Force Base, and held a multitude of positions in which he could use his many skills.

Dennis and Natalie made their home in Island Park, Idaho, where Dennis was a construction worker and handyman.

Dennis’ wife, children, grandkids, and his dogs were most important to him. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and anything outdoors. He spent a lot of time camping with his wife and dogs.

Dennis is survived by his loving wife, Natalie Sue Cannon of Island Park, ID; son, Jason (Jennifer) Crookston of Orem, UT; daughter, Angelia (Jeremy) Estes of Eagle Mountain, UT; sons, Waylon Cannon of Island Park, ID, Casey (Krystal) Cannon of Rigby, ID, Chance (Mercedes) Cannon of Rigby, ID, and Colter (Courteney) Cannon of Saint Anthony, ID; sixteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Willard Cannon, Jr., Darwin Cannon, Gary Cannon, and Barry Cannon; and his stepfather, Pete Darrah.

Private family services will be held in July 2023.
