Deanne Kelly Fillmore Obituary

Dottie Deanne Kelly Fillmore, 80, of Ammon, passed away May 2, 2022, at her home. She was under the care of her family and Alliance Hospice.

Deanne was born March 17, 1942, in Denver, Colorado, to Clyde Dean Packer and Dottie Marguerite McKinlay Packer. She grew up and attended schools in Blackfoot and graduated from Blackfoot High School. She also attended BYU-Provo.

On December 20, 1961, she married Paul Hamilton Kelly in the Idaho Falls Temple. Paul entered officer training school in the US Air Force. They were stationed in Italy where their first two children were born. They loved traveling and seeing the beautiful sites in Europe. They experienced many joyful times leading and meeting with the early Italian members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Three more children joined them while they were stationed in the Phillippines and Rapid City, South Dakota. After Paul was discharged, they moved to Idaho Falls, Idaho, in 1976 where their youngest child joined them and they raised their family. Paul passed away on July 8, 2014.

On November 15, 2019, Deanne married Ken Fillmore in Idaho Falls. Deanne and Ken enjoyed a sweet and loving relationship and made their home in Ammon, Idaho.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as a Stake Young Women President and a Relief Society President. Deanne’s greatest joy was being a mother and teaching the gospel. She enjoyed piano, cooking, gardening, painting, and writing.
