Debbie, Darrell was a special person to me. I will miss talking to him. He always remembered me when he had extra garden stuff. He even remembered I liked to have the larger zucchini to make cookies with. He will be missed. Delaine Harris.

November 17, 2020 9:51 AMI may have been Darrell's favorite or at least he always made me feel that way! I have been Deb's visiting teacher for many years and each month when I came to visit Deb, he would always come around the corner to say hi. During gardening months, he always had his cherry tomatoes in a bag to give us. Darrell's tomatoes where heavenly, I could never grow them like Darrell's. I know he babied those tomatoes with lots of love. Darrell was always very handy, making fun projects. I was honored to get one of those projects. I would plant my plants in my planter always thinking about Darrell and now it will hold a very special place in my heart. This last summer, I didn't get to see Darrell or Deb due to the Covid so i missed my tomatoes! I feel blessed I got to see him a few weeks ago at Winco. I recognized him right away with this plaid shirt and his suspenders holding up his jeans, I had to say its me under this mask and we had a good laugh. We had a sweet conversation the best we could, with masks on and Darrell's hearing:) He told me he was doing the best he could and that he was in alot of pain and those Damn Doctors could not figure it out:). Darrell will always hold a special place in my heart. I will miss making him my cherry cheesecake which he said he loved! Rest in Peace my sweet friend....
