Dale Jay Killpack

Dale Jay Killpack, 80, of Firth, passed away September 22, 2022, at his home. He was under the care of Enhabit Home Health & Hospice, Nuclear Care Partners, and his loving family. 

Dale was born August 9, 1942, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Ellis Killpack and Hazel Elnora Peterson Killpack. He grew up and attended schools in Firth and graduated from Firth High School. After high school, Dale attended the LDS Business College.

On November 8, 1963, Dale married Carol Marie Hardy in Idaho Falls. After Carol passed away, Dale married Brenda Sue Christiansen on October 15, 2005, in Firth, Idaho. Dale and Brenda made their home in Firth where Dale worked at the INL.

He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served a mission in Cape Verde and the Bishop’s Storehouse. Dale enjoyed camping, skiing, and boating.

Dale is survived by his loving wife, Brenda Killpack of Firth, ID; four sons, Jason (Joyce) Killpack of Shelley, ID, Tehren (Pam) Killpack of Shelley, ID, Drew (Jill) Killpack of Rigby, ID, Troy (Mary) Killpack of Rigby, ID; two daughters, Nicole (Brian) Cox of Shelley, ID and Angelee (Tom) Stoddard of Idaho Falls, ID; two brothers, Wayne Killpack of Firth, ID and Gary Killpack of Shelley, ID; 21 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Norma Russell and Leora Wagoner; and two brothers, Ellis Vernal Killpack and Martell Killpack.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, September 30, 2022, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road. The family will visit with friends from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Burial will be in the Shelley-Hillcrest Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Shriners or St. Jude’s for Children.
