Christian Adam Dahl

Christian “Chris” Adam Dahl unexpectedly left this earth on July 30, 2020, at Idaho Falls Community Hospital.

Chris was born February 8, 1954, to Josephine Helen Dahl and Harold Arthur Dahl in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was the youngest of three boys, and a wonderful surprise.

He grew up in the Rose Park neighborhood in Salt Lake City. He attended Rose Park Elementary, later attending Northwest Junior High school, and graduating from West High School in 1972. He went on to attend the University of Utah, obtaining a Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering in 1976, and later obtaining a Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering in 1978.

He met his future spouse, Ann Marie Yensen, while working at the Rose Park Library. They began dating in 1975, and married June 15,1976, in Murray, Utah. In March 1977, they welcomed their first child, Mark Douglas Dahl. In 1978, while finishing his Master's Degree, he accepted a position at the Idaho National Laboratory where he worked until his retirement in 2017. In 1981, Ann and Chris had Madelyn Marie Dahl, and later in 1984, a second son, Patrick Andrew Dahl.

Chris became active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1986, and was sealed to his family in 1987. He served faithfully in many positions within the church, his favorite being a nursery teacher.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Josephine Helen Dahl; and father, Harold Arthur Dahl.

He is survived by his wife, Ann Marie Dahl; brothers, Rick (Nancy) Dahl and John (Mikki) Dahl; his children, Mark (Nancie) Dahl, Madelyn (and her (really his) cats), and Patrick (Ashley) Dahl. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Adam, Rachel, Hannah, Abraham Dahl; as well as many loved nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 5, 2020, at Iona Cemetery, 4962 East First Street. The family will visit with friends from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 South Ammon Road.
