Carol Ann (Hartshorn) Ribis, 55 passed away unexpectedly on May 1,2019, in Idaho Falls, Idaho. She was born December 14, 1963, to Sherman Hartshorn and Geraldine (Henricksen) Hartshorn.
Carol grew up and attended school in Idaho Falls, Idaho. She loved to go out and country dance, play pool, take pictures, and crochet. She worked in the service industry, where she met Dr. Samuel Ribis. They were married May 16, 1985, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, and to this union was born their beautiful daughter, Jessica Ann Ribis. They moved to Huntsville, Alabama in 1995. There they made their home, and Carol went on to get her L.P.N. Dr. Samuel Ribis passed away November 13, 2014, after a long battle with ALS. Carol loved spending time with the apple of her eye, her grandson Jay was her everything! She loved all her nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and friends very much. She moved back to Idaho falls in November 2018 to be closer to family.
She is survived by her daughter, Jessica Ann Keir (Kevin Burkhart)of Atlanta, Georgia; sisters, Deanna Hartshorn (Merle) of Newport News VA, and Diane Rodgers of Idaho Falls, Idaho; brothers, Danny Henricksen (Rick) of Palm Springs, California, and Steven Hartshorn of Knight Dale. N.C; nephews, Rhett Henricksen, Michael Henricksen (Angela), and Scott Leshinski, all of Idaho Falls, Idaho, and Ben Cooke of Newport News, VA; nieces, Katie Misuraca (Sam) of St. Louis, Missouri, and Kim Stagie of Idaho Falls, Idaho; and her grandson, Jay Patterson of Atlanta, Georgia, and Jessica having twins due in October; her very special Aunt Glenda M. Bates, Aunt Bonnie Henricksen, and Uncle Darrell Henricksen, all of Idaho Falls, Idaho.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Samuel Ribis; her parents; her grandparents; and nephew, Andy Johnson.
Her daughter, Jessica, Kevin, and Jay planted a tree in her memory May 12, 2019 (Mothers Day) at their home in Atlanta. At her request her ashes will be put with her Grandmother, Margaret Valetta McKenna Henriksen, whom she loved dearly. A gathering for family and friends will be held May 31, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at the Ammon Cemetery, with Scot Marsh giving the family prayer.
