Boyd L Collette, 70, of Rexburg, Idaho, passed away January 26, 2022, at Briarwood Assisted Living of Rexburg.
Boyd was born March 13, 1951, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Don and Lorna Ellis Collette. He grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls. He later spent a decade in Las Vegas, then returned to Idaho Falls in 2004.

Boyd was raised LDS, but jokingly referred to himself as the biggest Jack Mormon in town. He had a strong belief in God and faith in Jesus Christ. He was really easy-going, mild tempered, and considerate of others. Anyone will tell you he always put others before himself and showed concern for those around him. He loved his wife dearly. He enjoyed spending time in the outdoors fishing, hunting, camping, and boating. He loved Burger King Whoppers and strawberry milkshakes.
Boyd is survived by his loving wife, Linda Collette of Rexburg, ID; daughters, Sherry Carlson of Portland, OR, Virginia Smith of Clearwater Spring, FL, Elizabeth Smith of Tampa, FL, and Pamela Smith of Idaho Falls, ID; son, William "Kevin" Smith of St. Anthony, ID; brothers, Jim Collette of Idaho Falls, ID, and Alan Collette of Idaho Falls, ID; and sister, Sherri McArthur of Edwards, CO.
