Bill Moss

James William “Bill” Moss, 74, of Idaho Falls, passed away October 24, 2022, at his home.

Bill was born August 6, 1948, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Stephen Lawrence Moss and Jenny Merle Lindsay-Moss. He grew up and attended schools in Bountiful, graduating from Bountiful High School. He later went on to attend Weber State to play football. A year later, he was drafted into the United States Army where he was sent to Korea.

On July 23, 1971, Bill married Virginia D. Morgan in Malad, Idaho, who was the one true love of his life.

Bill was the Ultimate Cowboy. His love for horses and rodeo started at a very young age. He enjoyed working cattle and helping his dad run livestock. His true passion came from team roping, training horses, and teaching others to rope.

Bill is survived by his daughters, Shantell (Jeff Hall) Carlson and Stefanie (Jesse) Law, both of Idaho Falls, ID; sister, LaRae Ball of Idaho Falls, ID; brother, Thomas Moss of Idaho Falls, ID; sister, Elizabeth (Paul) Belnap of Kaysville, UT; 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his father, Stephen Moss; mother, Jenny Lindsay-Moss; brother, Stephen Lawrence Moss, Jr.; and sister, Susan Broadbent.

Private family services will be held at a later date.
