Bill Doman Obituary

Bill E. Doman, 89, of Idaho Falls, passed away January 8, 2023, surrounded by his loving family, after saying, “This has been the best day of my life. I’ve seen my entire family and now I get to go home.”

Bill was born May 27, 1933, in Westphalia, Kansas, to William Orval Doman and Amy Adelaide Quiggle Doman. He grew up and attended schools in Grace, Bancroft, and graduated from Pocatello High School. He also attended the University of Utah where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree. He served as a Corporal in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.

On August 8, 1952, he married Bonne Carol Bradley in the Idaho Falls Temple. To this union were born four children, Bradley, Kirk, Karen, and Jay. Bill and Bonne raised their family in Denver, Colorado; Salt Lake City, Utah; Pleasanton, California; and Idaho Falls, Idaho. Bill worked in Corporate America and owned and operated several of his own businesses.

He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was a devoted disciple of Jesus Christ and served in various callings through the years, including serving a mission in the Washington D.C. Temple with his sweetheart.

Bill enjoyed many things, including “Giving Counsel,” fishing Henry’s Lake, genealogy, traveling with friends, his cabins and three ring binders. Oh, and “Giving Counsel.”

Bill is survived by his children, Brad (Dawn) Doman, Kirk (Debbie) Doman, Karen Fuhriman, and Jay (Jan) Doman, all of Idaho Falls, ID; 23 grandchildren and 56 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Bonne Doman; sister, Deloris Myers; son-in-law, Jared Fuhriman; grandson, Adam Fuhriman; and great-granddaughter, Margaret “Maggie” Doman.
