Zona Hall

ZONA HALL IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Zona LaPreele Carrell Giles Hall, 88, of Idaho Falls, Idaho died November 15, 2003, at the Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center of leukemia. She was born August 25, 1915, in Wilson Mesa, Utah, to John W. and Dorothy A. Pectol Carrell. She lived in the Myton and South Jordan, Utah areas. She also lived in Othello and Spokane, Washington. Her later years were spent in Iona, Idaho. On October 14, 1930, she married Guy Giles. Five children blessed this union. They were divorced in 1972. She married Elmer R. Hall on August 29, 1980, in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. He died January 26, 1992. These were the happiest days of her life. She was the head dietitian at the Othello Community Hospital for the most of her working career. She also worked as a nurse's aid and a rotating surgical nurse. She played the piano and enjoyed crocheting, crafts, and sewing. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served two full time missions and two stake missions. She was a Temple Officiator in the Idaho Falls and Jordan River Temples. She was honored twice as Mrs. Lincoln Court while she lived there and was known for her warmth, kindness, love and service. A classy lady that found the service very fun and rewarding. In 1998 she moved to Iona to live with her daughter. She loved cooking and was a marvelous cook, but above all, she loved people with a Christlike love. Nothing was too much work or too much trouble, especially for her family. She was a very hard worker and took joy in the work, no matter what it was. She loved serving others and expressed the opinion that if you are sad or blue-go do something for someone else. Another of her favorite thoughts was those who bring sunshine into the lives of others cannot hide it from themselves. She was always cheerful and happy...she would say, it is just as easy to smile as it is to frown. She had a marvelous positive attitude, a fun, quick wit, and enjoyed playing jokes on her friends and family on April Fools. She had a talent of making people feel welcome and loved because she truly did love and enjoy them. She was a nurturer to anyone who needed nurturing, and she did not judge them. She was loved by all that knew her. Wherever she went, she blessed the lives of those she associated with because of her great ability to love, her cheerful attitude, her great love of Jesus Christ, of God, and of all of his children. Words cannot express the great love, respect, adoration and all around feeling of awe her family feels toward her and how greatly she will be missed. Surviving are: Son: William C.
