Zoe Ellen Coronado, a beloved wife, mother, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on April 17, 2026, in White Rock, New Mexico, surrounded by love. Born on March 8, 1957, in Rexburg, Idaho, Zoe lived a life marked by warmth, friendship, and an enduring spirit that touched all who knew her.
Zoe's journey was one of heartfelt dedication and vibrant enthusiasm. She earned her bachelor's degree in Toledo, Ohio, before embarking on a distinguished career in finance, engineering and planning. Her professional achievements were significant, yet she always placed her deepest pride in family and friends.
Her family was the cornerstone of her life. Zoe married her beloved husband, Ron Coronado, on Valentine's Day in 1999, in a touching ceremony in Cabo, Mexico. Together, they have four wonderful children: Jason Allen (Lindsey), Cory Coronado (Dalisa), Tom Allen (Lisa), and Jamie Koontz (John). Zoe's love blossomed further with the joy of sixteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was also a treasured member of the vast Coronado family and maintained an endless circle of close friends who were privileged to know her.
Zoe was preceded in death by her loving parents, Steve and Jennie Brunson; and her sister, Kim Brunson.
Zoe had an active and joyful lifestyle filled with diverse passions. She enjoyed snow skiing and water skiing, golf, bowling, and tennis, and had a particular love for concerts-especially those featuring Sammy Hagar, where she could often be found rushing to the front row to experience the music up close. Traveling and spending time on beaches also brought her great happiness and a sense of peace.
Zoe's life will be celebrated with two important services reflecting the broad reach of her love and relationships. An informal memorial gathering will be held on April 25, 2026, from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Rivera Family Funerals of Espanola, New Mexico at 305 Calle Salazar.
Later, a funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 2, 2026, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 South Ammon Road, Ammon, Idaho. The family will visit with friends from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services. A luncheon to follow at 12:30 p.m. at Elk's Lodge, 640 E Elva St, Idaho Falls 83401.
