Zenda Lyn Aberg Evans, 61, of Idaho Falls, passed away on November 15, 2015, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born April 6, 1954, in Richmond, California, to Clarence William Aberg and Evelyn Verl Carpenter Aberg. She attended the SDA Church School in Richmond; Golden Gate Academy in Oakland, California; and Junior College in Hayward, California, where she received an Associate’s Degree in medical transcription.
On June 19, 1977, she married Dale Myron Evans in Greenville, California. She was a mother and homemaker and devoted her time and talents to her family. She worked as a child care worker at Oak Lake Ranch Group Home where she touched and changed countless young girl’s lives. Most recently, she was a Para Professional Teacher in Special Education at Rocky Mountain Middle School for Bonneville School District #93.
She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. First and foremost she loved being a wife and mother. She enjoyed studying her bible, sewing, quilting, gardening, being outdoors, traveling, camping, and reading.
She is survived by her husband, Dale Evans of Idaho Falls; daughter, Stacy L. (Ray) Campbell of Idaho Falls; son, Zachary W. (Nola) Evans of Greenville, CA; mother, Evelyn Babb of Greenville, CA; and sister: Kathy (Mike) Lindsey of Vacaville, CA. She was preceded in death by her father, Clarence Aberg; and a brother, Alan Aberg.
A Gathering will be held for family and friends Wednesday, November 18, 2015, from 2-4:00 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 South Ammon Road.
