Zelma Ladendorff

Zelma Rae Ladendorff, 83, of Idaho Falls, passed away December 14, 2016, at MorningStar Senior Living Center. Zelma was born January 26, 1933, in Madisonville, Tennessee, to Rev. William Grover Smiley and Allie Mae Brackett Smiley. She grew up and attended schools in Tennessee. She married Alfred Frank Ladendorff in California in May of 1983. They moved to Modesto, California, in 1989. Zelma had a daughter, Gail. Zelma worked as an office manager for different management companies. Alfred passed away on March 20, 2015. Upon his death, she relocated to Idaho Falls, Idaho, to be closer to her step-daughter and step-son-in-law, Marlene and Jeff. She was a member of the Baptist Church and Order of the Eastern Star. Zelma is survived by her daughter, Gail Smith of Minot, ND; step-daughter, Marlene Ladendorff (Jeff McCanch) of Rigby, ID; sister, Annette Burger of TN; sister, Hazel DeAngelo of FL; and 3 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Alfred Ladendorff. No services will be held.
